Guides for every part of ArmedIQ
Short, practical articles for setting up the app, organizing your collection, and getting the most out of every feature. Still stuck? Contact support.
- Creating your ArmedIQ account
Open ArmedIQ on iOS, tap Sign up, enter your email, set a password, and verify the link sent to your inbox.
- Subscription plans and what they include
Free covers basic inventory. Pro unlocks forecasting, analytics, exports, and unlimited photos. Manage your plan from Settings → Subscription.
- Adding a firearm to your inventory
Open the Firearms tab, tap +, pick a category, fill in make/model/serial/caliber, and snap photos. You can add documents later.
- Managing collections and subcategories
Use the built-in categories (carry, hunting, match, heirloom) or create custom subcategories from Settings → Subcategories.
- How serial number privacy works
Serials are masked everywhere by default. Tap the mask icon and authenticate with Face ID / Touch ID to reveal them for a short window.
- Tracking ammunition inventory
Open Ammunition → +, enter caliber, manufacturer, bullet weight, lot, and round count. Set a minimum-stock threshold to get low-stock alerts.
- Logging ammunition consumption
When you log a range session, match, or hunt, select the ammo and enter the round count. Inventory decrements automatically.
- Forecasting and reorder intelligence
Open Ammunition → Forecast. The view shows projected stockout dates per caliber and a suggested reorder quantity based on your last 180 days of consumption.
- Managing suppressors and SBRs
Open NFA → +, pick suppressor or SBR, fill in make/model/serial/caliber, and link the host firearm(s) it's used with.
- Tracking NFA registrations
On any NFA item, open Registration and set status, submission date, approval date, and tax stamp number (masked by default).
- Organizing Form 1s, Form 4s, and trust documents
Open the NFA item → Documents, tap +, and attach the PDF or image. Forms live with the item, not in a separate folder.
- Resetting your password
On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password, enter your email, and follow the reset link we send you.
- Setting up Face ID or Touch ID
Open Settings → Security and toggle Biometric login. Authenticate once and ArmedIQ will use Face ID / Touch ID from then on.
- Using Protected View
Settings → Security → Protected View. With it on, serials, stamp numbers, and license numbers are masked across the app until you tap and authenticate.
